Paired sentences in this set are: #8 and 9, #28 and 29, #37 and 38, and #43 and 44.
SET GAMMA – Sin/Nai
#01 - Ring
And Sin sends a knowing smirk at Nai as he sashays out the door, “Bet you can’t guess where it is.”
#02 - Hero
Nai is not the most typical of heroes, but then again, Sin isn’t the most normal ‘damsel’-in-distress either.
#03 - Memory
Sin looks at him, and Nai swears that sometimes the demon isn’t seeing him, but someone else in his place.
#04 - Box
He’s never supposed to open it and Nai always wonders what’s inside, but he takes his cues from Pandora and doesn’t touch it.
#05 - Run
He does, and sees tears of blood stream down Sin’s cheeks as he turns back to the devil behind him, becoming someone Nai barely knows once more.
#06 - Hurricane
Blinking up at him curiously, Sin cocked his head to the side, “Wait, you run from these little showers?”
#07 - Wings
He feels fingers softly touch the backs of his wings, and Sin has to restrain himself from jumping Nai right there when the boy asks if he can wash them.
#08 - Cold
“Sin, get your lazy ass out of bed, and no, I don’t care how cold it is, you need to get u-uuaaaah!”
#09 - Red
After Nai manages to fight his way out of Sin’s grip –the man is like an octopus sometimes, he swears- he makes sure that he turns up the temperature, eyeing the lump under the red silk sheets rather fondly.
#10 - Drink
He has long since gotten used to the fact that Sin makes everything look sexy, even laughing so hard that a drink goes up his nose.
#11 – Midnight
It’s then that Sin always wakes up, just to sit on the edge of Nai’s bed and sleep next to him for a few hours before slipping back into his own bed.
#12 - Temptation
Laying casually back down on the pillows, Sin draws a hand idly down his bare chest, “So, about that game of strip poker…”
#13 - View
“Can’t you find a pair of pants that does leave something to the imagination?”

After a fifteen minute war over classic rock or rap music, Nai wins simply because he is not above taking cheap groin shots to get his way; better Sin’s crotch than his own ears.

Nai looks at his bed with a frown and mutters, “You didn’t have to replace my sheets, you spoiled whore.”

It’s been a few weeks since they’ve met, and Sin starts slipping inside Hiko’s mind just so he can see how Nai acts when Nai’s not around him.

Nai never knew why he always looked so sad sometimes, but Sin remembered a voice, laughing and smiling and in such pain, “I love you, Atheansinton, wait for me, please.”

They are happy, and together, and so in love, and he wakes crying, knowing it can’t happen and praying it will.

Looking up at him curiously, silver-rimmed green eyes blink, “But Nai, it’s not my birthday, and there’s only one can…” and he stops, gazes down at the cake with its single burning candle and murmurs softly, “Yeah, it has been a year since I’ve been out, hasn’t it?”

“I already know what other things you can do, now get down on your knees and do them.”
#21 - Silence
Sin congratulates him when they get together and holds him when they break up, his mind screaming all the while -I love you, I love you, please just look at me, I love you so much, please see me, I love you- and knows he can never say anything.

“Why are you listening to this eighties-power-rock stuff when you could be listening to Led Zeppelin?”
#23 - Fire
Color flickers around his hands, and Nai regards it with interest, knowing that he’s seeing Sin’s aura; it doesn’t surprise him that it feels warm against his skin.
#24 - Strength
It is a special kind of strength, Sin thinks, to be able to step back and admit that you can’t do anything, especially when you could have done something if it was a normal enemy.
#25 - Mask
Seeing past the façade that Sin kept around him took a certain kind of skill, Nai thought, and it wasn’t until years later that he realized that the chaos demon had never really lied to him.
#26 - Ice
Sin’s breath misted the air, and Nai stared at the gentle snowflakes that highlighted his black-blonde eyebrows and thought how beautiful….
#27 - Fall
As they looked around the church, Nai stumbled a little, almost falling into a hole, and Sin wrapped an arm around his waist, hauled him backwards to rest against his chest, murmured, “No falling, Nai, since I’m not sure I can go down there and pick you up.”
#28 - Forgotten
Fingers brush dusty keys, and he begins to tap out a melody he hasn’t played in years.
#29 - Dance
And Nai leans over him, stills his hands and pulls him up to dance without any music, bodies pressed tightly together, eyes never straying from the other’s face.

Sin has no illusions about how attractive he is- though Nai sometimes wishes that he wasn’t quite as free with his ‘favors’ as he usually is.

Nai knows he is the only one who can see Sin like this -trembling and moaning beneath him, hips moving restlessly and body arched in a beautiful line- and he traces the shell of Sin’s ear delicately, gently, as though he were handling something precious and breakable.

It was the one thing Sin had hoped it would never come to – and of course, it was the only possible end.

Walking around, staring at the huge house he was in, Nai turned to Sin with wide eyes saying, “Sin, I think you could fit the whole world in here!” and not hearing Sin murmur, “Well of course, you’re inside it, aren’t you?”

“So, when they introduce us, you’ll be my consort, okay?”

Sin’s skin was constantly hot, but this was too much- because really, setting the blankets on fire was so going to get Nai grounded.

When Sin leans back his head and laughs -skin flashing in the sun, eyes half-closed in pleasure- that Nai chuckles along, hiding the fact that he just got hard because of the laugh of a guy he barely knows.

“There’s…no such thing is there, Sin?”

And he grabs Nai by the face, eyes blazing silver and green and all furious passion, “No, there’s no such thing, but I’m not letting that stop me.”

Sometimes, he has to take a step back and make sure that he hasn’t lost his mind somewhere – because, really, demons?- but the second that considering gaze met his again, Nai knows that Sin will always be there for him.

It’s always after the boy goes to sleep, when Sin sits, lit by moonlight and naught else, and he leans down to press his lips against the skin of Nai’s throat, murmuring words he thinks will never see the light of day.

Years later -not years, eons later- a brown-haired boy wanders into his life because of a freak mistake he made, and Sin knows that all the time wasted has been totally and completely worth it.

“I’ve had this conversation with my dad before, and there is no way in hell I’m having it with you, Sin!”
