TO FAR TOO MANY

Ugh, so, my inactivity levels on here have been rising, which is actually terribly sad, since I check it every day. Multiple times. And it occurred to me that if I, oh, I dunno, POST SOMETHING, I might have something to do again.

So, things that are going on.

1. I AM THIS CLOSE *holds fingers really close together* THIS CLOSE, I TELL YOU, TO BEING DONE WITH P'R'U. AUGH, two scenes left. JUST TWO. (Of course, they have to be argument and explanation scenes, which are always harder for me than "Derp-a-derp, I'mma snark at you now" scenes. I always feel bad for making them fight, because I just want to tell them that it will all be okay. *wibbles*

2. Homework is eating my life. That's one of the reasons I haven't done much this semester yet.

3. I'm turning 20 in ten days. (I AM SO OLD, COMPARED TO EVERYONE ELSE THAT I KNOW)

4. I LOVE TEA. Chamomile is a new favorite. So, random tea recommendations: Lemon Honey Chamomile from anywhere (or just chamomile), Mango Ceylon from the Republic of Tea, and Lapsang Souchung from the Republic of Tea.

5. TTB is still drafting. I really don't want to start this story without a clear idea of where it's going, but I need to check with my sounding boards about where it's going to go.

(Ugh, don't tell me that. I'm already feeling older than all my roomies ((THE DAMN JULY BIRTHDAYS!!)) from last year. And my best friend from Texas ((who is now my girlfriend ^^)) is two years younger than me because of an August birthday)

Anyways, did you read that story preview-y thingy I posted a couple of weeks ago? I wanted constructive criticism but you're like...the ONLY ONE who reads my entries. XD It's like my baby, since I'm a closet angst fan and all.

Pretty much.

I did read it, and I'm interested in seeing where it goes. The thing I keep noticing is that you're tense-jumping. You say: "and maybe Demyx feels kinda down", but then later you say: "so Demyx doubted he’s stop wishing anytime soon."

Either pick present tense, or pick past. Don't mix and match the two.

Also, it's probably not a good idea to directly address your audience, like "Why, you ask?" That sort of thing should be an implied question, not directly stated. The goal of writing is to show the audience, not tell them. Why state their own question. They know what they're asking. Find a different way to bring that up.

It has potential, it does. It just needs some grammar tweaking.

Pick one that you're most comfortable with and stick with it. Not everyone can jump tenses easily. If you prefer present, then write in present.

I know, it's something that always kicks people. Just read it through after you've written it, and make sure that your tenses all match.

XD I talk to characters, like in videos I'm watching or stories I'm reading. But then I talk to myself too in teh shower. I remember one day I was thinking about how I was commenting to the characters and how my parents needed to stop thinking I was crazy when I realized I was talking out loud...OTL

But talking aloud to yourself is fun! That's how I get half of my story ideas (like TTB. That one was something I said to myself as I was trying to go to sleep that night.)

1. I KNOW, AND I'M SO SORRY THAT IT'S BEEN TAKING SO LONG. It warped into 13k+ of sprawling story.

2. Pretty much..... (And I haz a cat! His name is Arthur!)

3. But age also come with making me feel old and tormented BECAUSE MY ROOMMATES ARE FLAUNTING MY PRESENTS IN FRONT OF ME.

5. I know.... but it really needs to be done for this story. And a sounding board is something to bounce ideas off of, so I know before I even start developing it whether or not it's a good idea.

Yeah, tea works really well, since it relaxes the blood vessels in your head that constrict and cause headaches. Also, another thing that might help with migraines: taking some St. John's Wort. I've heard that it really helps prevent them, even better than regular migraine medicine.

I will, right after I get P'R'U done. I want to be able to focus completely on that one story alone. (Well, two stories. Sorta)
